Why Crystal?


You might be wondering why I choose to write a lens about crystal earrings. Well, the crystal itself is among us for millions of years, but it took us lots of time to discover it. Everyone knows crystals have healing powers ( for the believers) and even though you don't believe you still tend to have your lucky stone for good luck.
It is said the first giant crystal was discovered in 1816, when some gold miners came across a cave of giant crystals- this was the initial date I discovered after researching the world of crystals.

But there is a contradiction saying that actually the giant crystal was discovered in 1794- the Naica mine also known as the Crystal Cave of the Giants, a name well deserved as the crystals were not like how we would expect, to hold them in our hands, it's location : south of Chihuahua City, in Mexico.
Some of the largest are essentially columnar in shape and stand thirty to fifty feet high and three to four feet in diameter. Many of the smaller examples are four to six feet in circumference, have many incredible geometrical shapes, and probably weigh in excess of ten tons. The columnar pillars are at first the most striking shape, but there are thousands of "sharks teeth" up to three feet high placed row upon row and dispersed at odd angles throughout the caverns. While some of the crystals are attached to the ceiling walls and floors of the cave as might be expected, some exist in great masses of spikes and almost float in air. These crystals seem to defy gravity, as they must weigh several tons.
